Lasik - Laser Vision Correction

Refractive eye surgery (reducing one’s need for visual correction), has been in development for several decades. Radial keratotomy was very popular in the United States until 1996 when the FDA approved use of the excimer laser for use in laser vision correction. Initially, LASIK was limited to myopia or near-sightedness. Now, correction for hyperopia and astigmatism is also possible.

We have had many patients excited with their results from LASIK surgery. We help guide our patients to the surgical center that will best meet their needs. As a member affiliate with Emory Vision Correction Center in Atlanta, Dr. Oxley provides pre-and post-operative care to patients who have Lasik surgery.
